Cookie Policy
What Lootra stores in your browser, and why.
Last updated 10 August 2026
The short version
Lootra sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party trackers. What we store exists to keep you signed in and to remember a couple of preferences.
Strictly necessary
- Authentication — cookies set by our authentication provider that keep you signed in between visits and refresh your session. Without them you would be signed out on every page load. They are cleared when you sign out.
- Security — short-lived values used to protect sign-in and form submissions against cross-site attacks.
These cannot be switched off while you are using an account, because the site cannot function without them.
Stored in your browser, not sent to us
We keep a small amount of interface state in your browser’s local storage — things like which boxes you have favourited. It never leaves your device and is not used to identify you. Clearing your browser data removes it.
What we do not use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No third-party analytics or session-recording tools.
- No social media tracking pixels.
Managing cookies
Every browser lets you view and delete cookies, and block them by site. Blocking ours will sign you out and prevent you from signing back in.
For everything else we hold, see the privacy policy.
